LANGUAGE LEARNING PLAN

LAOS – LAOTIAN

Lao or Laotian is a tonal language of the Tai–Kadai language family, which is the official language of Laos, and also spoken in the northeast part of Thailand, where it is usually referred to as the Isan language.As the first language of the Lao people, Lao is also an important second language for the multitude of ethnic groups in Laos and in Isan.

ElEMENTARY STAGE – Pronunciation and Listening Comprehension

Grasping the correct pronunciation; reciting daily used words which enable us to solve the problem of survival:

Using the network resources and studying the daily used words from the local saints, like greeting, shopping, transportation…..
Utilizing apps (Lao alphabet free), network resources and the book 《老挝语语音教程》to learn the pronunciation of Laotian.
Attending a language course: about 50000 KP (40 RMB) / h.

Sharing the Mystery of Human Life in 3 min and having a brief conversation in preaching gospel:

Reciting the Mystery of Human Life.
Going out to preach the gospel daily (reciting one key per week and applying them).
Memorizing 6 spiritual words every day.
Communicating and practicing to share with gospel friends what we are learning.
Memorizing daily conversational phrases and sentences; 3 sentences every day by applying the book《老挝语900句》.

INTERMEDIATE STAGE – Reading and Conversational Speaking

Fluently reading spiritual books in Laos through reciting the spiritual vocabulary and having morning revival with others:

Memorizing 6 spiritual words every day and reading the morning revival in Laotian.
Inviting saints to participate in the morning revival, asking the saints to correct our pronunciation while speaking.
Memorizing more advanced daily conversational phrases and sentences; 3 sentences every day and applying them in our daily life.

Developing the ability to prophesy 5 min in the meetings and cooperating with the saints in shepherding others:

Nourishing saints with the messages from The Lessons of Life.
Acquiring 500 basic spiritual vocabularies.
Learning the book of grammar《老挝语实用语法》.
Arriving at the ability to prophesy 5 min in the meetings.

ADVANCED STAGE – Prophesying and Translation

Being able to translate for others in the meeting and become comfortable in contacting the local people with fluent Laotian:

Seizing every chance to fellowship with saints.
Learning the book of grammar《老挝语翻译教程》.

Having the capacity to release a 20-minute message in the meetings in the sixth month:

Continuing steadfastly to preach the gospel, shepherding the saints, and prophesying in the meetings.
Obtaining the capability to release a 20-minute message in a proper setting.
